Petroleum Engineer

Location: Bangkok, Thailand (with Asia-Pacific exposure) Experience Level: 10–15+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent 🌟 About the Role We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Petroleum Engineer to drive production optimization, well intervention planning, and resource management. In this role, you will lead well reviews, model reservoir performance, and directly impact our field depletion and business plans. If you have a strong background in Reservoir Engineering and simulation, this is your opportunity to lead high-impact asset strategies. 🎯 Key Responsibilities 🔹 1. Production Optimization & Modeling • Monitor & Maximize: Track daily field production and optimize well/platform injection and disposal. • Aesthetic Modeling: Conduct well performance modeling and reservoir productivity using Prosper. • Data Strategy: Identify subsurface gaps and request PVT samples or pressure transient tests. • Lead Teams: Coordinate and lead comprehensive Well Reviews and water management plans. 🔹 2. Well Interventions & Drilling Support • Planning: Prepare technical recommendations for well interventions and workovers. • Design Support: Assist with artificial lift, completion designs, and trajectories for horizontal wells. • Operations: Support drilling teams with cement evaluations, integrity logs, and perforation intervals. • Slot Recovery: Identify and prepare slot recovery proposals for DMF documentation. 🔹 3. Reservoir & Resource Management (10-25%) • Forecasting: Generate short-term and Life of Field (LoF) forecasts for year-end reserves. • Decline Curve: Estimate reserves and production using DCA software. • Depletion Plans: Maintain reservoir depletion plans and update reserves databases. 🔹 4. Business Planning & Economics • Economic Evaluation: Run project economics using PEEP and Excel models. • Budget Control: Manage annual/monthly Capex/Opex estimates and perform variance analysis. 📋 Candidate Qualifications 🎓 Education & Background • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Reservoir, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering. • Plus: A Master’s degree in Reservoir Engineering is highly advantageous. 💼 Experience Required • Industry Track Record: 10–15+ years of reservoir/petroleum engineering experience. • Simulation Expert: 3–5 years of hands-on reservoir simulation experience. • Software Mastery: Must be proficient in Petroleum Experts (MBAL, Prosper, GAP, PVTP), OFM, and PEEP. • Asset Modeling: Experience with Petrel RE and Eclipse E100/300 is preferred. • Global Mindset: Experience working within the Asia-Pacific region; QRE status is a plus. 🗣️ Key Skills • Languages: Full professional proficiency in both Thai and English (Written & Spoken). • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex technical engineering data into business objectives. 💡 Why should you apply for this position? • Work on complex, high-value asset portfolios. • Collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional international team. • Competitive salary, bonus, and comprehensive corporate benefits.
