Logistics Specialist - RDC (6 Months Contract)

Position Overview The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all logistics operations within the Regional Distribution Center (RDC). This includes managing the efficient flow of goods, inventory management, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Key Responsibilities • Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. Coordinate with carriers and manage shipping documentation. • Order Fulfillment: Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with the sales and Internal customer service teams to address any order-related issues. • Logistics Coordination: Plan and coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Optimize routes and transportation methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency. • Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation. • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including procurement, production, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics such as delivery times, inventory levels, and cost savings. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution center operations. • Skills: • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Excellent communication in English skills. • Proficiency in ERP systems (Pronto and JDE is preferred) • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards. Working Conditions • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
