Sales Application Engineer

The Sales Application Engineer • Works directly with the customer and BDM to develop the most appropriate solution utilising inhouse tools covering thermal selection and product costing • Submit and follow up quotations with customers as to secure the purchase order • Mange customer expectations during and post order delivery REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES AND / OR CAPABILITIES : • Strong knowledge of mechanical components and systems (e.g., Heat Exchanges, HVAC, etc.) • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (CAD experience is a plus) • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM and ERP systems is an advantage. • Strong problem-solving and project management skills. • Willingness to travel as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE : • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering or mechanical design • Experience in a customer-facing technical role • Understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical design principles • Prior experience with custom solution development Benefits & Welfare: • Food allowance is 50 per day • Travelling allowance is 4k • Monthly good attendance starts from 400,600, and 800 • Working hours are 8 hours a day, and 5 days a week • Uniform After pass probation • Provident Fund (After probation) • Group Insurance (After probation) Notes: This is a new role, the reporting line is still to be defined. Comments: The candidate that Air Radiators requires will work closely with the BDM / Sales Rep. Ms. Nuttarika would be someone that the Sales Engineer would normally accompany rather than the person doing the role itself. For this position, the English level also needs to be strong as they will be interacting directly with the team in Australia. They really need an Engineer who can understand the client’s technical requirements, rather than someone focused on the sales interaction side. As mentioned before, the expectations from the Australian team for this role are quite high. The main responsibilities include: • Providing technical support to the sales team, including product selection, sizing, and specification reviews • Analysing customer requirements and translating them into suitable product solutions • Preparing detailed technical proposals, drawings, and cost estimates based on customer needs and product capabilities (within applicable standards such as AS1210 and ASME) • Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop custom solutions when needed • Conducting technical presentations
