Signalling tapes and nets allow the detection of underground piping or power cables.

Signalling tape

 
• Reduces the risk of damage caused by utility vehicles (excavators) interfering with lines or underground cables and causing flammable fluid leakage or brush discharge hazards

 

• Prescribed by D. M. 24/11/84 for use in the laying of gas distribution systems with operating pressure up to 4 bar (Class 4 pipes)

 

• To be placed 30/50 cm above pipe (after partial backfill)

 

• Ultimate elongation >150%

 

• Indelible inscription

 

• Age-resistant, soil bacteria-resistant, oil-proof, acid-proof, alkali-proof

 

• A clear PP coating film is heat-transferred onto the colour substrate film to protect inscription and improve the tapes mechanical strength

 

• Customized inscriptions, colours and dimensions available on request

Net with signalling tape

 
• Tape is heat-transferred to the net

 

• Upon request, two stainless steel wires can be incorporated to allow the detection of plastic piping route using standard radio-wave detection equipment. The marker wires must be connected to the end of each roll by means of clips, welding, or plaited using suitable pliers. A potential measuring point
  is required every 500/1,000 m complete with clip.

• To be placed about 50 cm above the extrados of the pipe or cable after partial backfilling. Unwind the roll along the excavation on a semi-compact bed, possibly free from projecting bumps. Carry out the final backfilling.

 

• Ultimate elongation lengthwise >600%.
   
• Lengthwise tensile strength: 600 N (for 50 cm widths)
   
• Protective PP film makes inscription indelible.
   
• Excellent resistance to micro-organisms, fungi, moulds.
