MPE™ thermal spray aluminium

MPE offers both thermal sprayed aluminium (TSA) and thermal sprayed zinc (TSZ). MPEs TSA corrosion protection system is an extremely durable system, providing significant corrosion protection improvements over conventional coatings systems. MPEs application process uses electric arc spraying, whereby two electrically conducting aluminium wires are fed towards each other, producing an electric arc at the point just before the two wires meet. As the arc melts the metal wires, high pressure air sprays fine droplets of molten aluminium on the prepared steel surface.

TSA coatings can be applied either manually, or by an automated process in our TSA plant in Kuantan, Malaysia, which is designed for pipe sizes from 4" through 48" in diameter and up to 18m in length. By automating the TSA process, not only is production capacity increased, but an even coating film is guaranteed, with materials savings of as much as 20%.
